Legal Information

Legal principles relating to diversity are mainly found in the Constitution, Article 3 (translated from German):

  1. All persons are equal before the law
  2. Men and women are equal. The state promotes the actual implementation of equal rights for women and men and works towards the elimination of existing disadvantages.
  3. No-one may be prejudiced or favored because of their sex, their descent, their race, their language, their homeland and origin, their faith, or their religious or political opinions. No-one may be discriminated against because of their disability.

The General Equal Treatment Act (AGG) provides further instructions.

To implement these provisions of the AGG, two receiving offices have been established at the TU Clausthal for complaints against provisions of the AGG:

If you suspect violations of the AGG, you can contact one of these offices.
